Can I submit my manuscript by mail (post)?Yes, although we prefer you submit your manuscript on-line using our ‘Submissions’ button under the 'Contact Us' section, you may indeed send your manuscript to our address found at the 'Contact Us' page. Can I submit my manuscript if I am from the USA or somewhere other than Canada?Yes, although we are a Canadian based publishing house favouring Canadian books, we are open to publishing manuscripts from world-wide destinations (manuscripts must, however, be in the English language). Why haven’t you responded to my manuscript submission?While we would like to respond to everyone in a timely manner, due to the volume of submissions, we must give priority to manuscripts that we are interested in publishing soon. What exactly is the Living Book Project (TM)?The ‘Living Book’™ Project is a neat way for you to connect and communicate with your favorite author, and even suggest modifications for their book. How, exactly? Imagine you purchased a book from us, and you really like it; but you feel that a certain chapter got cut short, and you didn't really understand the motivation of the character in parts A and B. Just contact your author and give them your suggestion; every year, the author will select and approve a few modifications, and these will be written inside the book, which will be released again as an expanded edition. Your name will go in a special thank-you page, together with anyone else who helped to contribute to expand upon the original story. Cool, right?
Since I gave the idea, do I get any money for it?No; the copyright of the characters and story remain the property of the original author. Your suggestions fall close to the "fan fiction" often seen online -- except in this case, we get your "fan fiction" ideas and run with them. However, contributors for the best ideas get perks such as t-shirts, mugs, signed postcards... depending on what we have available at that time. And, of course, your name will be in the book as a credit, forever a part of your favorite story.
How can I participate on the Living Book Project?Do you have a Facebook account? It is very similar to that.
